On Tuesday, April 28, 2025, SD Cilandak Barat 01 conducted an earthquake simulation activity involving all students, teachers, and school staff. This activity was part of a disaster education program aimed at improving the preparedness of the school community in the event of an earthquake.

The simulation began with the sound of an emergency siren indicating the occurrence of an earthquake. All students and teachers promptly followed safety procedures by taking cover under their desks. After a few minutes, they were directed to evacuate to the designated assembly point on the school field while protecting their heads with their bags. Upon arrival, teachers conducted a headcount to ensure that all students were accounted for and checked each classroom to confirm that no one was left behind. Teachers also practiced emergency response steps in case any students were injured during the disaster.

The activity was supported by representatives from JGC Indonesia, namely Ms. Indri Firna, CSR Coordinator, and Mr. Agung Laksono, Safety Coordinator. Their presence added significant value to the simulation, as they provided direct education and guidance on proper evacuation and safety procedures during a disaster.

This program is part of JGC Indonesia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, reflecting the company’s commitment to supporting education and community resilience. By conducting this simulation, JGC Indonesia aims to contribute to the safety and preparedness of schools located in earthquake-prone areas.

Through this simulation, it is hoped that students, teachers, and staff will gain a better understanding of how to protect themselves and others during an earthquake. The activity also aims to help the entire school community become more prepared, calm, and responsive in the face of real emergency situations. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to building a safer and more resilient school environment.
