JAKARTA - Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) states that the minimum need for blood in Indonesia is around 5.1 million blood bags per year. That figure reaches two percent of Indonesia's population. Meanwhile, around 4.1 million bags of blood were fulfilled from 3.4 million donations.
Seeing the high need for blood donors in Indonesia, every year PT JGC Indonesia holds routine blood donor activities that involve PT JGC Indonesia employees.
Hundreds of PT JGC Indonesia employees from various departments participated in this blood donation activity as a form of social and humanitarian concern. In addition, blood donation also has good benefits for the body for donors who can reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, and regenerate blood cells.
Through this activity it is hoped that it can increase the life expectancy of those who really need it. And PT JGC Indonesia itself really hopes that social activity programs such as blood donation can take place regularly for the following years.
