Jakarta, Indonesia- JGC Indonesia (President Director Nurdin Haris) announced that JGC Indonesia has secured an Air Separation Facility construction contract from PT Amman Mineral Industri.
Currently PT Amman Mineral Industri is in the process of establishing a Captive Copper Smelter Project on Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The Copper smelter will require a continuous supply of Oxygen & Nitrogen gas. Therefore, the aim of this project is to have a dedicated Air Separator Unit (ASU) for uninterrupted oxygen & nitrogen gas supply.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and other facilities needed for the smooth supply of Oxygen & Nitrogen gas to the Copper Smelter of PT Aman Mineral Industri.
The Indonesian government imposed a ban on the export of raw, unprocessed mineral ore in 2014. In 2017 the government enacted various regulations allowing mining companies to continue exporting concentrate, provided they periodically demonstrate a minimum commitment to project progress.
Going forward, JGC Indonesia will continue to work actively as an EPC company that contributes to stable energy supply in Indonesia to meet broad needs.
