PT JGC Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility by supporting communities affected by the recent floods in Sumatra through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. In collaboration with Rumah Zakat under the Sumatra Disaster Relief Initiative, JGC Indonesia provided humanitarian assistance to help communities cope with the immediate and long-term impacts of the disaster.
As part of the emergency response phase, on 11 December 2025 JGC Indonesia distributed hygiene kits to flood survivors. Each kit contained a 15-liter bucket, towel, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, and detergent. These essential items were intended to help maintain personal hygiene and health in post-disaster conditions, where access to clean water and sanitation facilities is often limited, while also reducing the risk of disease outbreaks.

Beyond emergency relief, JGC Indonesia has also planned recovery-phase initiatives to support sustainable rehabilitation. One of the key programs is the construction of MCK (bathing, washing, and toilet) facilities to improve access to proper sanitation for affected communities. This initiative reflects the company’s long-term commitment to supporting public health and restoring dignity and safety in daily life after the disaster.
In recognition of this meaningful contribution, Rumah Zakat awarded PT JGC Indonesia a Certificate of Appreciation titled “Peduli Sumatera Bangkit” on 22 December 2025. The award symbolizes a strong partnership between the private sector and humanitarian organizations in accelerating community recovery.
Through these humanitarian efforts, JGC Indonesia continues to demonstrate its role not only as a business entity, but also as a responsible corporate citizen committed to strengthening community resilience and bringing hope to those rebuilding their lives after the disaster.
