Jakarta - As part of its ongoing commitment to workplace safety, PT. JGC Indonesia, through the QHSE team, held a Fire Suppression Training from June 11 to 13, 2025. This training aimed to improve employee preparedness in handling fire emergencies within the workplace environment.

The program was attended by 11 selected male employees who had never participated in similar training before. These individuals were specially chosen to take on the role of Floor Wardens, acting as first responders during potential fire emergencies at the office or project sites.

The training was delivered by professional firefighter instructors in collaboration with PT. Kreasi Edukasi Manajemen Indonesia (PT. KEM), a trusted partner in safety and emergency response education. The materials covered fundamental knowledge on fire causes, the proper use of fire extinguishers, safe firefighting techniques, and emergency evacuation procedures.

Over the course of three days, participants engaged in both classroom sessions and hands-on practical exercises to ensure they could act swiftly and correctly in real-life fire situations. The training also included fire extinguisher practice and evacuation simulations, allowing participants to apply what they had learned in a controlled environment.

This Fire Suppression Training reflects PT. JGC Indonesia’s firm commitment to strengthening its safety culture and ensuring all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergency situations. It also reinforces the company’s belief that safety is not just a policy, but a shared responsibility. (TG)
